Default finally understood wuts GW about :P

i spent freakin 3 months farming and finishing every quest and mission, rarely did
PvP. but last couple weeks i've been doing PvP a lot. and l started to like more than pve.
before i used to just farm, earn as much as gold i can + i used copy others most commonly used builds. but then when i created my 1st pvp character. i found out true meaning behind skills, its like riddles, the more pvp u play & more experiments u do the more experience u get. and u get to know all skills much better.

its sorta good thing ANet did on focusing on pvp, all about strategies n playing right cards :P

i wont quit gw faction n fame n rank here i come

pvp is what this game is all about. for some reason people miss that point by looking at the box and quoting. the time spent is really true.

example: play pve for 100 hours unlock a few things for 2 classes. play pvp for 100 hours and unlock nearly everything on the game with no limitations on armor or weapons.

ya just figured that out last week too
& ever since +20 faction for kill it has been a lot more easier

i think its like we all were sorta missguided, we all think its abt pve only, pvp for fun only, where its exactly opposite
pvp is very challenging & i love it now

yeh...i spent lots of time on pve too eg. farming and completing game and making new chars for skills etc. preparing for pvp, so that i could play anything...but i realised that if u narrow your flexibility down and only play one class (eg.monk- who every party wants) until u have enough faction to simply unlock the skills etc.

cuz of heavy farming i have unlocked all monk/warrior/mes/ele skills in pve only
but i realized how much time i wasted on it just for greed of gold
now im gonna make my monk real useful now...gonna go for true monking now

I played PvE for a very, very long time over the course of many characters. I had the intention of never touching PvP, as it is a style of play I've always detested. I've had more than my fill of games where the l337 players pwn the n00bs.

Lo and behold, though, I now play 95% PvP. And I enjoy it.

Many people assume everyone plays PvE, and that that is what the game is all about. They figure that the PvP people are come and go and will never be loyal to Guild Wars. From my experience, however, PvE people eventually become PvP people willingly. Every friend I have in Guild Wars is either a PvP player, or someone who hasn't yet reached the desert. They all started as PvEers, like myself, but eventually you find the need to grow beyond the limited challenges that PvE offers. While you're still learning the game, PvE can offer more than enough new challenges to be interesting. Being inevitably static, however, PvE's allure can only last so long. Once you've beaten the game enough times to know each enemy inside-out, suddenly you realize how beautiful the dynamic nature of PvP really is.

I'd just like to note, though, that I don't mean to say PvE is a training ground for PvP. Nothing could be further from the truth. However, after extended periods of time a great deal of PvEers do transform into PvPers due to the need for a greater challenge.

yup, in search of extreme challenge, n fear u get from pvp
i dunno y but whenever i get either european or mostly korean team against us, i really get tensed, which i really like n enjoy it.
& i still have fear against korean teams, since its hard to figure out their names, it takes me cpl secs to find the callers target, & every sec in pvp worth a lot
u can either win or lose

I have completed the game so far 3 times, working on my 4th currently. No plans for PvP... ever.

Never liked PvP much, for a game that's supposed to be somewhat focused on PvP, you'd think they'd put more than one style of it in. It's basically arena, or big arena. ...oh joy. I get to sit behind a gate until the timer goes down, then I get to go fight the same builds I've been seeing for the past several months. Oh joy, I feel skilled winning.

They could do so much more with PvP in this game it's just insane, they could actually have WARS they could actually have DECENT battles. This stupid countdown go at it stuff lasts about a week for me. Give me an arena where people can just PvP as they please, without countdowns and an ongoing battle and then we'll see real skill come out.

Good thing you don't work at Anet. Sounds like you're asking for PVP WoW style.

I don't see anything wrong with wanting more styles of PvP... and just because WoW does it doesn't automatically make it a bad idea...

I think some more forms of PvP would be cool, I'd like to see a attacker/defender scenario (seige), 'someone has to run an object into an opposing area' scenario (guild-ball, would increase the usefulness of snares), a 'royal rumble' style scenario (more faction the longer you last) and possibly some more mixed npc/pc combat (like having two different teams trying to complete the same quest, rather than the 'guard the npc' style play HoH has become).

I just want more variety, and a lot more freedom. Right now it's basically build vs build instead of player vs player, if you know what I mean. And that pisses me off.
